Sherwood House Gardens

Poppy’s Cottage is situated within the renowned gardens of Sherwood House. Covering 23 acres with two steep wooded valleys, the gardens contain one of the most extensive collections of magnolias in the world – over 120 varieties – along with camellias, rhododendrons, azaleas, berberis, heathers, maples, cotoneasters, buddleias, hydrangeas, cornus and epimedium. The gardens burst with colour from spring to autumn.

Sherwood House Gardens have been featured in several books and magazines. They are open to the public on special occasions, but residents of Poppy’s Cottage get full access to the gardens for the duration of their stay.
